File

• Logout - Logs current user off and opens login windows.
  
• Settings - Opens the settings dialog.
  
• Check for Updates - Checks if a update for ProjectXT is available. If so, the update can be downloaded and installed immediately.
  
• Quit - Use this if you do not want to work with ProjectXT any more.

Modules

• Employees - Opens the employees window. Each employee is also a user account for ProjectXT.
  
• Customers - Opens the customers window.
  
• Work Calendar - Opens the work calendar. There You can see your working hours for each day. Accounting can also add vacation and illnes vor employees.

Actions

• Bequeath start and target date - This will set the start and target for all children according to current start and target date.
  
• Bequeath employees - This will set the editor list for all children according to current list.
  
• Bequeath customer - This will set the customer for all children according to current customer.
  
• Finish node - This will set the finish-flag for the node. Finished nodes cannot be used for booking any more. Usually the will not be displayed in node tree (see Settings->Show finished nodes)
  
• Reactivate node - This will remove the finish-flag for the node. It can then be used for booking again
  
• Url path to clipboard - This will copy an URL for the current node to the clipboard. You can use the path to open ProjectXT with the node on another computer if the URL is registered.
  
• Add to favourites - Adds the selected node to the favourites view. If the node is not a leaf node, its childresn will be displayed in favourites view too
  
• Undo - Here you can undo the last operation. The Title indicates which operation will be reversed. Hint: Not all Actions support undoing. Please do not rely on this function.
  
• Deduct node - Opens the deduct window for the selected node. There you can perform billing operations.
  
• XML Export - Opens the export window for the selected node. There you can create reports in XML and HTML.
  
• Start Recording - Starts a time record in the selected node. Allows you to track your work directly.
  

Edit

• Edit node - Opens the selected node for editing.
  
• Create node - Creates a new node as sub node of the seletect node. If the selected node has any sessions they will be moved to the new node
  
• Delete node - Deletes the selected node.
  
• Copy node - Creates a copy of the selected node as a new sibling. Sessions will not be copied.
  
• Access for node - Opens the access window for the node. There You can inspect and change the access level for all employees in the selected node.
  
• Cost Categories - Opens a list with the cost categories. Allows to add, edit and delete categories.
  

View

• Favourites - Shows the favourites node tree. There you find the nodes you added via 'add to favourites'.
  
• Last booked nodes - Shows a list of the nodes you recently used for session booking. Double click a node in the result list to jump to that node.
  
• Delete persistence data - Activate this function if the UI has strange display issues. Clears all saved window positions, Grid width, docking configuration, etc.
  
• Refresh tree - Reloads the node tree.
  
• Refresh node - Reloads the selected node.

Packages tree
This tree shows the available nodes. The tool icons are shortcuts for some edit operations.

Search function
On the top of the packages tree you have a search icon. There you can search for words in node title and description. The Execution the search will open a seach Pane with the search results. Double-click an item in the search results to jump to the node.

Favourites tree
This tree shows your favourite nodes. You can use the selected node for session booking if it is a leaf node.

Sessions Pane
This pane is activated if a leaf node is selected. It lists all sessions in the node. You have this functions available:

• Add session - Add a new session to the node. Opens the session window.
  
• Edit session - During your booking period you can edit sessions with this function. Opens the session window.
  
• Delete session - Allows you to delete a session. Only available during booking period.
  
• Show session - Opens the session window in read-only mode.
  
• Excel Export - This function creates a excel file for the shown sessions.
  
• Start Recroding - Use this function to start your work in this node. You can interrupt recordings and switch beetween nodes with this tool. Opens a stopwatch window.
  

Packages Pane
This pane is activated if a node with childs is selected. It lists all child nodes of the selected node.


Properties and Expanded
These panes Show some Basic properties of the selected node. The properties itself will be described in another section.
